Your to-do list, one click away.
TaskBar puts your Apple Reminders in the Mac menu bar, sorted on a 3D Eisenhower matrix. Focus on today, park the rest, and watch finished tasks burn. π₯
Small app, big focus.
Everything lives in one little panel you open from the menu bar. No new account, no new app to learn.
Lives in your menu bar
One click and your list is there. The menu bar icon shows how many tasks are left for today.
A 3D Eisenhower matrix
Every task for today is a little cube on its quadrant. Drag a task onto a tile to sort it, drag the board to spin it.
Today vs Backlog
Focus on what's due today. Everything else waits quietly in the backlog until you pull it in with one click.
Finish with fire
Tick a task: its cube flies at the screen, turns into your task's name and burns away letter by letter. Changed your mind? Click again to undo.
Synced with Apple Reminders
TaskBar reads and writes your real Reminders, so everything shows up on your iPhone, iPad and Watch too. Your quadrant is saved as the priority (!!!, !!, !).
Private by design
No account, no tracking, no servers. Your tasks stay in Apple Reminders on your own devices.
Every quadrant has a mood.
Look at the board and you instantly know what kind of day it is.
Works hard. Hops, spins and throws off sparks until it's done.
Chills. Breathes slowly, waiting for its time slot.
Slips through a portal into another dimension. Someone else's now.
Greyed out and tilted. Honestly, you can let this one go.
Install in a minute.

Questions
Is TaskBar really free?
Yes. No trial, no ads, no account. If you like it, telling a friend is the best thank-you.
Which Macs does it work on?
Any Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or newer, both Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and Intel.
Where are my tasks stored?
In Apple Reminders, the same place they already are. TaskBar doesn't have its own server or cloud, so nothing leaves your devices except through your own iCloud.
Why does macOS say it "could not verify" TaskBar?
Apps from outside the App Store need a paid Apple notarization to skip that warning. TaskBar is a free side project, so you confirm it once with Open Anyway (see the steps above).
How do I start it automatically?
Click the gear in the TaskBar panel and turn on Launch at login.
How do I remove it?
Quit it from the gear menu, then drag TaskBar from Applications to the Bin. Your reminders stay untouched.
